About our guides

Published by GK's PLAB 2 Study Centre

GK's PLAB 2 Study Centre is an independent education platform operated by GK's Study Centre LLC. We publish PLAB 2 study resources, practice tools and free guides. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the General Medical Council or the PLAB examination board.

Who is responsible for the guides

The publisher and organizational author is GK's PLAB 2 Study Centre. The organization is responsible for the research, editing, source checks, corrections and publication decisions behind each guide. We do not use an invented individual byline or describe an article as clinically reviewed unless that review has actually been completed and recorded.

How we research and update articles

We give priority to primary sources such as the GMC, GOV.UK, NHS bodies, medical regulators and official recruitment organizations. Time-sensitive claims should identify the relevant date, and source links should sit close to the claim they support. Planning estimates, exchange-rate examples and platform data must be labelled so that they are not mistaken for regulator facts.

Each guide records its publication date, material update date and most recent fact-check date. Guides covering volatile subjects are scheduled for source review every 90 days; other guides are scheduled every 180 days. Passing a scheduled check does not turn educational content into personal medical, immigration, legal or financial advice.

Clinical and specialist review

A fact-check date records when the article's cited claims and links were last checked. It is not, by itself, a claim of independent clinical or legal review. Where specialist review is completed in future, the article will identify the reviewer or reviewing team and the scope of that review.

Use of AI-assisted tools

AI-assisted tools may be used during research organization, drafting, language editing, consistency checks or technical publishing. They are not treated as an authority or named as an author. Their output must meet the same source, accuracy and editorial standards as any other draft, and publication responsibility remains with GK's PLAB 2 Study Centre.

Commercial independence

Some guides link to paid tools offered by GK's PLAB 2 Study Centre. These links are presented separately from the sources used to support factual claims. The Guides also link to official and third-party resources when they are directly useful to the subject.

Corrections and questions

If you find an outdated fee, changed rule, broken source or factual error, email support@gksplab2.com. Include the guide URL, the passage concerned and, where possible, the supporting source. Material corrections should update the article's modification date; source rechecks update its fact-check date.
